If anyone else had similar symptoms

I am a little afraid right now because of this diagnosis.

I am a little afraid right now because of this diagnosis. I have to say the event itself was far more frightening though. The scariest part of it for me is that I suddenly felt like I lost my mind. I had no idea what was going on, what had happened that day, even my emotional state (which was the scariest)…gone. I knew that my tooth rush was in my mouth and I had to get to bed, but I had trouble, stumbling and dizzy. When I finally crawled slowly into bed it was difficult for me to lay down. I had to ask my husband if we were alright, because I didn’t know if we were ok, or if I or we were angry at each other, but it was hard to roll over toward him and hard to ask with words. Half asleep he rolled over and kissed me, so I knew we were ok and it slowly dissipated and I fell asleep. I know now that I should have gone in, but because I have post concussion syndrome I thought it maybe was some horrible instant reaction but then found out that’s not a thing so I went in to find out it was this.. i’m wondering if anyone else had similar symptoms.

What is your blood pressure? Say taken once per day every three days?

Terry Berg
Trøy Christensen my blood pressure is low, but my mom has clotting problems with her blood, and her mom died of a stroke at 52. My doctor says to take the asprin until we get the MRI results back.

Terry Berg high platelets? What did cbc show? Did it have iron & ferritin study as well as platelet analysis by human under microscope?

Terry Berg
Trøy Christensen i’m sorry, i’m not familiar with any of the terms yet. All I know is that my doctor said probable TIA, and has ordered an MRI and a test where I wear some kind of monitor thing for 24 hours. Can’t remember exactly what it’s called though.

Terry Berg what I am suggesting is that you get a CBC(complete blood count) with an iron&ferritin study with a platelet analysis. Get this done. Then EKG/ECG probably already done. Finally- what is your blood pressure?

Terry Berg
Trøy Christensen it’s low. Like 68/95 i believe last time (?). Have not got the ekg/ecg so I’m screenshotting this to remember. I will definitely look into the tests you suggest. Thank you! 🙂

Terry Berg you mean 95/68. That is a really good BP. It is protective. The CBC with iron panel is not a test. It is a normal bloodwork. You must have had one already. You have to insist on the iron+ferritin adder panel (just 1 extra tube). Go get the results if you had a CBC. Anyway did they give you any advice? Did they try to find triggers (foods, medicines, family history, etc) or nada? The “platelet analysis” part I recommended was for your doctor to have a hematologist look at your platelets under a microscope. Do not let the doctor be “lean on labs” – I have had to hear someone explain how her husband was “lean on labs” as a doctor himself and how he had a heart issue himself –

I was very confused and disoriented and could speak but the sentences I was trying to say were coming out as random words. Also I felt very tired and muzzy for two weeks after. It is scary. Best get checked out. I get a bit muzzy occasionally and worry it will happen again so take an aspirin. Hope you feel better soon x

Terry Berg
Anita Cook thank you.

I had something similar but I don’t think it was a TIA ( and my Dr agreed when he heard what had happened prior.) By any chance , are you under TREMENDOUS emotional stress ? Just a thought ..x

Terry Berg
Devonia Dykes Cochran I wasn’t. Things were really good, but my husband and I had had an arguement the week before that lasted about 3 days without resolving, and we’d been good for 2 or 3 days before the head thing happened. An arguement for me can have extra emotional stress because I have an old head injury which can make me extra sensitive when things aren’t good. I guess the short answer is maybe. I would still like to get the MRI just to rule it out, but I hope that your right it could just have been and extra stress brain shut down (?)

Devonia Dykes Cochran
Terry Berg I would also want the MRI to rule it out . It’s frustrating I know … I really know . Wishing you only the best and good health only !

Terry Berg
Devonia Dykes Cochran Thank you! To you as Well!
