Menopause symptoms out AMAZINGLY

Something really positive that’s happened to me

I have not posted for a long long time but I MUST tell you about something really positive that’s happened to me ☺ I have suffered with tmd/tmj for over 10 years nows but I also have other chronic health problems including auto immune/connective tissue disorder I am 2 and a half years post menopause and I’ve been having horrendous menopause symptoms to the point where I just couldn’t cope anymore I went to the doctor and he advised me to start on HRT patches I really really didn’t want to but I thought I would try them as I felt so ill and I am so glad I did because not only have they sorted my menopause symptoms out AMAZINGLY they have helped my tmd symptoms I just couldn’t believe it so I decided to do some research regarding hormones and tmd and there is loads of medical studies regarding low progesterone and tmd symptoms tmd disorders affect far more women than men and doctors have thought there is a correlation between hormones and tmd over the years I’ve tried ALL the medication available in also had an neuro muscular orthosis made by a LV1 trained dentist LV dentistry is the precursor to gnm and that cost an absolute fortune ! I can only speak for myself but I truely can’t believe how much HRT has helped my tmd and it’s getting better everyday x

What’s HRT? This is incredible news, happy for you!

Sharon Stokes Wall
Hormone replacement therapy

What’s in the patch, progesterone ?

Sharon Stokes Wall
Combination estrogen/progesterone very low dose x

Thanks for letting us know your good news Sharon how long did it take for the patches to help

Great news indeed! HRT can help in big ways to some but it cannot address the structural issues caused by malocclusion-wrong teeth and jaw placement.

Eva Willer-andersen
Is it supposed to help with synovial fluid in the joints ?

Amit Alok Pandey
Very likely your tmd was not occlusion related.

Within a few days Eva x

I have eds and now dystonia which is prob linked to my tmj. I’m wondering now as with the menopause i got loads of joint issues like I’m melting! Wonder if its all about hormones.

Sharon Stokes Wall
I agree amit before I had tmd I had absolutely NO issues with my occlusion or bites it’s only AFTER I started with tmd symptoms that’s my teeth changed I had perfect straight teeth before tmd and now my upper 4 front teeth have changed position and my smile had changed but I truely cannot believe or understand how HRT has had a massive improvement in my tmd symptoms

Sharon Stokes Wall
Mandy I have EDS too the hypermobile type and vascular symptoms too

Beth McDonough
I think you’ve just solved my TMD issues. This is a miracle and I relate 100% to your story. My TMD worsened about 6 yrs ago right around when menopause started. PLUS I used to be on progesterone therapy for PMS over 20 yrs ago. all I can say is WOW – this is surely worth a try.

My tmjd got worse after I had my hysterectomy 14 years ago, I chose to not use hormone replacement but have tried progesterone on occasion and I did see that by adding progesterone it helped with relaxing my muscle spasms, I didn’t stick with it because my anxiety was out of control back then. My dentist is LVI as well 🙂
