My restless leg and anxiety is taking over my life.

I cannot stop fidgeting. I need some advice please

My restless leg and anxiety is taking over my life. I haven’t slept now in over 5 days. As soon as I try to sleep or lie down these weird sensations go through my whole body causes me much anxiety. Have no idea how I will ever survive. Had two iron infusions this year with no change in my body. I have become so depressed and worry constantly because I have no energy and getting more and more depressed. Not to mention extremely tired. I am on a med called meripex which I just stopped taking due to side effects. To make matters even worse I’m going through hot flashes every few hours. I cannot stop fidgeting. I need some advice please

Tina Løvstad I also suffer from restless legs .. i use magnesium spray on my legs before i Go to bed, and it helps a lot

Shauna Antle Hill I never heard of that. Where can I get some?

Abee Davis Don’t take any drugs for RLS, the relief you get is only temporary …..there is no cure , you will need more and they will stop working . Please try any and all alternative treatments…..Go to neurologist that understands RLS, if he doesn’t and you’re educating him hes not for you….. about the hot flashes it you’re open to hormones ( birth control pills in lieu of hormones have been my life saver, went through early at 39 was horrible tried everything. I’m 9 years post, still.on them.Saved my life!

Patricia Hamblin That’s true. I’m maxed out on my requip and it’s not working like it once did! I get very little sleep at all.

Abee Davis Patricia Hamblin , I’m SORRY, my heart breaks for all of YOU with such little public awareness to make donations possible for more advanced studies. Please keep talking about this disease. Every voice here can make a difference.

Sherie Biggs I have RLS and have u tried Tonic water only the Schweppes brand lots of quinine and I have magnesium, calcium vitamin D supplement twice daily

Shauna Antle Hill That tonic water tasted so bad

Sherie Biggs Shauna Antle Hill I know so bad but u get used to it! Worth the outcome!

Shauna Antle Hill Sherie Biggs how much of it do you take each night?

Dona Tella When I’m desperate, I put a Neupro patch on before bed and take it off in the morning. It works. It’s supposed to be a 24h patch but it’s too strong for me. My sleep doctor said I can do that if it works for me.

Shauna Antle Hill Donatella ,what is a neupro patch ?

Lizz AN How long were you taking mirapex for? If it was for a while you may be in withdrawal from it which will make it worse. I’ve learned to avoid allergy meds, caffeine, sugar and artificial sweeteners. They all make my rls waaaaay worse.

Shauna Antle Hill I’ve been taking it a long time. I think you are right. Withdrawal is a real thing. Thanks for your words

Brigitte Miller Histamine is also a trigger for me so I avoid alcohol and all gamey meats. Both are loaded with histamines.

Lorie Ortiz The only thing that helps me is tramadol. I don’t know what I’m going to do if i can’t get it anymore. Every day when i sit down for the night, the legs snd arms get the creepy crawlees and i feel like I’m going to lose my mind. I have every cream, lotion, Magnesium, Restful leg pills you put under the tongue, you name it, I have it. The soaks are only temporary for me. For once, I’d like to sit and be comfortable. I would give all I have to make this go away with the neuropathy. I mean it.

Shauna Antle Hill So Tramadol has worked for you. Does it take away the creepy crawlees?

Lorie Ortiz shauna Antle Hill yes it does for a few hours, so i hold on as long as i can before bed but it’s so miserable

Brigitte Miller Tramadol. Is highly addictive and withdrawal is very unpleasant.

Barby Fitzgerald Cashon Wished i had some for u i have this same exact problem im exhausted just from trying to sleep and have to go to work and work my tail off being this exhausted
