Should I give the Zoloft some more time for my body to adjust?

I really feel it is helped me tremendously. However now I have been struggling with migraines

Hey everyone my name is Amy I’m new to the group. I was diagnosed with GAD and panic disorder at 14. Was on and off Prozac, Zoloft and buspirone. I was off anxiety meds for several years and now In the last 2 months I’ve gone back on them. I was put on 20mg Prozac. It didn’t seem to help at all, if anything it made me more anxious. My psychiatrist put me on Zoloft 50mg. I’ve been on it a month now and I really feel it’s helped me tremendously. However now I’ve been struggling with migraines. I’m now on a migraine medication, called Sumatriptan. I’m assuming these sudden migraines/headaches are from the Zoloft, because when I was on it years ago I struggled with the same thing. Should I give the Zoloft some more time for my body to adjust? Thanks in advance.

Oh man, I’m on different meds but also struggle with regular migraines so wanted to just give you a 🤗 hug. Side effects from our meds that cause yet another medical issue can really suck. I hope you find some answers.

I had headaches for the first 5 weeks on Zoloft, but they’re easing now!

Welcome to group, sometimes it can take a while to get the kink out of meds. One antipsychotic I took made me move my leg constantly, I was bouncing my right leg so much my fiancé said I would move the car when we were at red lights! lol I got on a different med and it works much better.

Welcome. Migraines have just shown up for me as well, I’m not on the same medication but I’m told sometimes your anxiety itself can cause migraines. I would definitely mention it on your follow up with the psychiatrist and see what he thinks.

Sometimes when I’ve had a stressful day I will get a tension headache that turns into a migraine. Mine aren’t med related. I am taking lexapro, so far so good.
